Welcome to RAW
The offical site of British Photographer Colin Pearce.
His wide-ranging oeuvre exploits RAW elements from a solitary bird in a cage, cut artichoke hearts, seed pods and discarded feathers to core materials of earth, cloth, plastic. His Photography develops these paradoxes into powerful, conceptual works that can be figurative or abstract in form. At the very heart of what he portrays is the beauty and fragility of life, always a delicate balance.
Colin is an Artist at Skylark 2 Gallery in the OXO Tower on the South Bank in London with work on permanent display.
He also shows Photography at Gallery 63a in Kingston upon Thames. Solo and group shows have included Parallax AF 2011, Untitled Art Fair 2011, Riverhouse Barn 2010,
Pryors Bank Cafe 2009 and Landmark Art Fair 2009/10.
His work has been published in important art publications including The Royal Academy of Arts RA Magazine (2009).
In 2012, he entered photography into International Garden Photographer of the Year Competition 5. One or more of his entries has been awarded a commendation to be announced March 1st 2012.
