Box Frame Editions
Colin Pearce Photography can be produced using beautiful wooden box frames. Above you can see details of work produced in this way. Firstly, the prints are produced as standard on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag 308gsm paper which gives a subtle fibrous finish and understated colours give the photography an organic look and feel. A new option is on highly textured Canson Aquarelle Rag 310gsm Paper which is a beautifully textured paper, similar to that of traditional watercolour. The finished print has a 2cms white surround boarder and can be either float mounted ( see image left ) onto a backing board made of Heritage Conservation Board in white or window mounted ( see image right ) in soft white. The work is finished here in an oak box frame ( see image left ) with a width of 2cms and depth of 3.5cms. The frames are made by a framer based in London using 2mm frame glass that reflects 50% of UV light. Non-reflective 4mm conservation art glass offering 99% UV protection is available for an additional charge on request. The work is signed and numbered by the Photographer in the bottom right of the print in pencil. Frames come in all size options and are supplied with fixings and hanging cord.
